Does anyone have a patch for this. I have a windows x 64 bit system and cannot install the driver. I do have an old HD with a win7 64 bit that the driver was installed on. Can the driver be extracted and installed. Not sure how they got it to work with a 64 bit system.
I'm trying to get an old HP 650c DesignJet (C2859B) plotter to be recognized in Windows 10 (64-bit) and to be able to print a test page/plot successfully. Trying to avoid re-installing Win 10 32-bit to be able to load older 32-bit driver if I can locate the right one.
You need to find the ip address of the tp link since using network is probably the best way. Once you have the ip address of the tp link, then use that address to load the printer as a local tcp/ip printer where you add printer, local printer, next and on the port page click on the create port and in the drop down choose standard tcp/ip, next and then put in the ip address and then you get to the makers page and choose hp on the left and then start trying hp designjet gl2 drivers for any designjets listed. If you can not find the ip address then use the default ip address and adjust one of your computers to the same ip frame, go to web page and change ip address to one within your frame and then add the printer once you reset your computer back to regular ip address.
Hi, yes, use any 64 bit windows driver you can find. Vista should be fine. Any driver exe file that has this name--at least this was the last file name I saw--this is for I think only for the black and white HP Designjet 430:
As you probably know many are using this driver for the 450C, 650C, 750C, etc. to work with Win 8, 8.1, and 10. But I think you have to disable windows driver signature enforcement although I think I used it once and did not have to do that.:
Per Susan with myolddesignjet.com, the following hp driver is 64-bit for these legacy printers 750C, 450C, 650C, etc.--I hope it works, although I thought it is 32-bit because of the "32" but I've been assured it is for 64-bit Windows. I think you have to defeat Win 10 driver signing, probably do have to do that, not totally sure about that.
