Category:Off-road vehiclesA Syrian refugee and his wife have died in a suspected murder-suicide in London, the UK's Home Office said Thursday.
The couple, who have not been named, arrived in the UK in August, but were found dead in their apartment in Croydon, South London, on Wednesday night.
Police say the husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
The couple have been identified as Ali, 26, and Yasmine, 25.
Ali was a chef at Soho restaurant Algiers, a nearby building of which they both had the keys.
"We can confirm that Ali was well known to the restaurant staff and that Ali was being interviewed by police yesterday about what has happened," a spokesman for the restaurant said.
Yasmine's husband is believed to have been a chef at the restaurant too, her lawyer said.
Police are continuing their investigations.
A post mortem is expected to be carried out later this week.
Britain's foreign and immigration authorities will now have to take in more refugees if they wish to help.
